An accident on an escalator or elevator can cause a child serious injury, and it’s up to parents, teachers, and all of us to help kids ride safely. The Elevator Escalator Safety Foundation has launched the Safe T Riders Campaign to do just that. Through fun and engaging activities, games, quizzes, and a pledge, kids learn how to safely ride elevators, escalators, and moving walk ways.

More than 8.7 million children have been reached with the Safe T Rider program since its inception in 1991. The Foundation believes that reaching this number of children has contributed significantly to the low number of accidents involving young children and escalators and elevators in the United States and Canada.

Use the resources and games on this website to teach your kids how to become a Safe T Rider!
